We start by mapping everything. Training history, nutrition habits, hormonal symptoms, sleep, stress, and your exact physique goal. Most women find out in this first conversation exactly why their previous attempts stalled. You leave with a clear picture of what we're changing first and why.
Most women in this phase are chronically undereating. Before we cut anything we build a stable fueling baseline and get your logging accurate. Bad data makes every adjustment meaningless. We fix the foundation first.
Daily movement gets set as a non-negotiable starting point. This is the first lever we use before we ever touch your calories. Most coaches skip this entirely.
2-4 focused lifting sessions per week. Structured progressive overload is the primary driver of your physique change. We protect this no matter what else is being adjusted.
This is where most coaching falls apart. Every week we assess your data and make one small deliberate change at a time. Steps before calories. Calories reduced by 7-10% only. Never both at once. I highly recommend Matt Olsen Fitness. I have tried it all. Dieting, group fitness classes, home workouts, everything… Before I met Matt, nothing was working which made it incredibly difficult to stay motivated. I followed Matt on social media after seeing the results he was getting for his women clients who were my age. We had a conversation where he asked me some hard questions, but I was ready for a change. I signed up immediately. I am now 3 months in and have lost almost 10 lbs. and little over 4% body fat. It has been great. He gave me nutrition goals, assigned me workouts using an app on my phone, and gives me a weekly focus to keep me going. He is quick to answer questions or help with problems even if it’s in the middle of my workout. He provides the right amount of support and accountability. Call Matt if you're tired of the scale moving in the wrong direction!! You’re not too old to give this a try. I was at my wits end. The numbers on the scale kept increasing in spite of reducing calories and regular moderate activity. Gah!! Asked my doctor and was told it’s normal to gain weight when you get older. I’d had enough! My neighbor had been working with Matt for several years and looked fantastic (weight loss / building muscle). I met with Matt at the end of 2024 and initially signed on for 6 months. You agree to dedicate 2-3 hours a week to your workouts. You track your meals and meet with him monthly to review progress. Some clients meet with him in person for training and some are virtual. He mapped out my workouts around my work schedule. You work with him on a system to provide you with the best results - as long as YOU put in the work. He can't do it for you. He is available for questions and advice on the trainer app he uses. There is a private Facebook group for clients where tips and encouragement is shared often. I confess at first, I thought I’d be lucky to maybe lose 5-ish pounds. Well it’s been a year now and the weight loss is in the double digits. I’m thrilled! Turns out there is a great deal of science to weight loss and fitness. Follow the formula and you may see great results. Don’t pay attention to those whack-a-doodle magazine articles that say lose 15 pounds in a month by eating these foods or taking this supplement. It ain’t gonna happen. Do it the right way! I’m continuing on with him as a trainer in 2026 and want to continue building strength and wellness. The future looks bright! So, don’t throw in the towel on your health and wellness goals. Amazing coach! Listens, encourages and tailors to your needs/wants. I signed on and never looked back! I am also a remote client as well, and there was never any issues being that type of client. I steadily lost weight and inches and felt amazing!!! Due to my own reasons, sadly I’ve had to pause the program on and off, but Matt still reaches out and checks in with me to see how I am, which shows how much he truly cares…and when I can, I will be signing right back up with him! He goes above and beyond, he truly cares and knows what he is doing! If you are looking for a coach, Matt is definitely who should have!

Matt as a coach is great! Kind, compassionate, understanding and knowledgeable in this field. Working remotely was a bit of a challenge due to being so far away; however when I struggled he was a positive influence and had a plan to move forward and continue to make progress. I’ve been working with Matt since May 13, 2024 and have lost 20+ pounds, countless inches and over 5% body fat. I have found a routine that works for me and his program is very intuitive.
